So (there it is again!) Salty was asked to participate in a photo shoot. A friend from hockey who works at a company that makes educational toys and games (that you can pick up at Sam's Club by the way) needed some kids for pictures to go out the outside packaging for some new products. I thought, sure, why not. Sounds like fun and she would get a goodie bag with some of their products (which she loves) . Terribly enough, this shoot fell on picture day at school and she was going to have to miss it!(BUT, g-ma, there WILL be a picture day at Dance, so don't worry, you will get a new picture of her sometime...)
I was a little sad about that, but thought that this would be a one time opportunity.. blah blah blah.... so we went.
For forty-five minutes and five grown-up trying to help, SALTY WOUDLN"T SMILE!! Seriously, my face is sore from smiling so big to try to get her to smile. I bribed with the you can open your birthday present from Grandma early if you smile. One lady there made a bargain that Salty would smile after every page if she would read Salty's favorite book. . . on and on it went. No dice. When we left, our friend from hockey said, "Oh, she did great. The kids don't have to smile in EVERY picture, some of her shots were great!" Sure, uh-huh!
At least it was a fun experience and now I know Salty doesn't deal with a room full of fun toys and grown ups trying to make her smile......oh well, live and learn <3 :o)
