November 9, 2008, early in the morning, at a chilly ice rink in Central Ohio, Puppy scored his first goal! We were so excited for him. During the whole game he was on fire. He had at least five breakaways and tons of shots on goal, but the goalie was just as ferocious - not letting any pucks pass the goal line. The Bruins were leading by a goal with thirty seconds left in the game, in a desperate attempt to tie it up, the Flyers pulled their goalie. Puppy broke loose on another breakaway. He shoots! He scores!!!Since then he has been tearing it UP, scoring two goals at his next game.

This is Puppy going for it, full throttle ahead!The previous weekend, Puppy took his first turn ever in the net. He played an awesome game and made lots of saves. It was pretty cute when he missed this one because he wasn't paying any attention since his team was dominating. When he finally decided to quit day dreaming and focus, he was a little too late. The whole situation was pretty funny because all week, when we would ask him how he felt about playing goalie, he would arrogantly reply, "It's going to be soooo easy." Then the night before the game, I asked him again--he was looking a little worried. He said, "Mom, what if I can't stop the puck?!" "Don't loose your confidence now, you're going to do fine." I told him, and he did great :o)
